24 Hours Notice Required for In-Car Cancellations

If for any reason a student cancels or is a No-Show for a scheduled In-Vehicle lesson, that lesson will be forfeited. Additional lessons can be purchased.

This applies to a lesson canceled or a no-show with less than 24 hours’ notice given directly to your Driving Instructor. This fee is at the discretion of Halton Hills Driving School Management.

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices of Halton Hills Driving School. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website, haltonhillsdrivingschool.com. It will notify you of the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used, and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
  • How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Student Responsibility: Students do not hold the school responsible for taking any additional services from an instructor by directly contacting the instructor where services are not paid to the school.

Instructor Dismissal: The school reserves the right to dismiss an instructor without any disclosure due to privacy reasons.

Service Refusal: The school reserves the right to refuse services due to student misconduct (i.e., abusive language, cultural or race bias, assault – verbal or physical).

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We only have access to student information that is voluntarily given to us via email or other direct contact from you. This information is collected under MTO guidelines as required under Ontario Highway Traffic Act regulation 473/07.

Students consent to the release of any information provided to the school as required by the Ministry of Transportation, Insurance Bureau of Canada, and M.T.O course inspector.

Student information, including Driver’s License number, address, and phone number, will be provided to the Driving Instructor for the purpose of teaching.

We will not contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy unless you have given us exclusive consent via email.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

We collect your information for the sole purpose of driver education. Your data is retained for driver education, certification, and audit purposes. We can only change this data upon your or your guardian’s request when this request is sent to us by email.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or by looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. No credit card information is stored on any of our computers.
